National Network
Design für Alle - Deutschland is connected by FTB, BIKA and other partners with the German network AbI (alliance for barrierfree information technology).
AbI is employed especially with accessibility of information technology. Basis for this is § 11 of the German Disability Act ( BGG: Barrierefreie Informationstechnik).
Besides the co-ordinators FTB and BIKA four other organisations are members within the network of DfA-Deutschland:
- BAGH - Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Hilfe für Behinderte e.V.
- BIT Design für Barrierefreie Informationstechnik GmbH
- "Inclusive Design Group" at Institute for Technology and Work (ITA), Kaiserslautern.

BAGH
The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Hilfe für Behinderte e.V. (BAGH) is an association of selfhelp-federations of people with handicaps and people with chronical diseases and their relatives in Germany. In accordance with the German Social, Law BAGH stands up for the legal and real equality of treatment of people with handicaps and people with chronical diseases according the principles of self-determination, self-representation, normalisation, integration and participation. By means of sociopolitical exertion of influence at all national levels as well as by means of enlightenment and information of the public BAGH works towards participating and including people with handicaps and people with chronical diseases in all decisions which are related to them.
The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Hilfe für Behinderte e.V. (BAGH) is founding member of the Aktionsbündnis für barrierefreie Informationstechnik (AbI) .
BIT Design
BIT Design für Barrierefreie Informationstechnik GmbH attends to barrier-free design of electronical information systems and works practice oriented as service provider for public, social and commercial organisations. Offered are: the production of accessible internet appearances, product tests, market research as well as concepts, expertises, counselling and training about accessible computer, software and internet.
Inclusive Design Group
The "Inclusive Design Group" at the Institute for Technology and Work (ITA) is specialised in design, implementation and evaluation of accessible information and communication technology with an occupational, public and private context. The work of the "Inclusive Design Group" is based at the thesis, that adequate engineered technology ("inclusive design") can make an important contribution to fortification of persons and groups in the information society discriminated and excluded so far. On this occasion the "Inclusive Design Group" realises the definition of ergonomy of the International Ergonomics Association by designing, implementing and evaluating products and systems to adapt them to needs, abilities and limitations of the respective users.
Web for All
Web for All is a project of the association for occupational integration and qualification (Vereins zur beruflichen Integration und Qualifizierung e.V. - VbI) domiciled in Heidelberg. This association aims at qualifying and employing people with handicaps. In the project severely handicapped employees were trained in designing of accesible websites. With that on the one hand a basis for an occupational future is created and on the other hand a basis for the cooperation of multiplicators in Internet area is made
Web for All is founding member of the Aktionsbündnis für barrierefreie Informationstechnik (AbI) and advises public and private organisations which are interested in accessible design of their web site.
